Dopo la mostra di Luca Coltelli ci siamo chiesti se fosse stata anche una buona dose di fortuna a consegnarci la buona risposta da parte del pubblico, così quando ci siamo messi al lavoro per questa seconda mostra assieme ad Ilaria: l'artista; abbiamo avvertito un po di pressione data dalla volontà di bissare ed se possibile migliorare l'affluenza presso il nostro spazio e l'apprezzamento verso il nostro tipo di proposta. Già dalla fase di allestimento questa tensione si è avvertita, nel momento stesso in cui tutte le opere sono state portate in galleria ci siamo trovati di fronte ad un bivio: mantenere un approccio minimale o vista anche la personalità delle opere di Ilaria, andare nella direzione opposta; ovvero quella di un "horror vacui" funzionale, che sottolineasse la drammaticità domestica: sfondo delle vicende e dei personaggi dell'opera di Ilaria. Dopo un primo momento di incertezza abbiamo democraticamente, quasi per votazione, optato per la seconda modalità. Questa scelta, non in linea con la "dottrina" della maggior parte delle gallerie (italiane che io conosca per lo meno) è risultata esser vincente. Infatti oltre ai visitatori, tanti, che sono venuti a farci visita durante l'orario di apertura, in molti si sono soffermati ad osservare dalla vetrina la mostra quando nessuno presidiava. Lo abbiamo dedotto dalla tante impronte di mani che abbiamo dovuto di volta in volta ripulire dalla vetrina, e ce lo hanno confermato i nostri amici, proprietari dei negozi vicini. Quindi buona anche la seconda! Sento che siamo sulla buona strada. Non tanto per i riscontri del pubblico, che pure fanno piacere; ma per la capacità che si è palesata di saper cooperare dialogando anche partendo da posizioni diverse, avendo la capacità e la volontà di capire quale sia la soluzione adeguata per ogni singola situazione particolare; mettendo da parte la voglia d'affermazione del proprio ego a tutti i costi e rifuggendo quindi il rischio di una omologazione. Quindi dico grazie Giorgio Tomasi per esserti dimostrati flessibile! Grazie Ilaria Germano per la dedizione e l'impegno con i quali ti sei "tuffata" in questa tua prima mostra personale! Grazie Akiko Saheki per la pazienza ed il garbo che ti contraddistinuguono in ogni occasione, anche la più tediosa! Penso che questa mostra rappresenti un grande miglioramento rispetto quella già più che soddisfacente che l'ha preceduta. Avanti la prossima!!!

After the exhibition of Luca Coltelli we wondered if it was also a good dose of luck beside our efforts the cause of the good response from the audience, so when we got to work for this second exhibition together with Ilaria: the artist, we have experienced a little pressure from the desire to repeat and if possible improve the turnout at our space and the appreciation to the type of proposal. Already under settlement time this tension is felt at the very moment in which all the works have been brought in the gallery we found ourselves faced with a dilemma: to maintain a minimal approach in showing the artworks or respecting the personality of the works of Ilaria, go in the opposite direction, namely that of a functional "horror vacui", which highlights the domestic drama: background of the events and characters into the work of Ilaria. After a moment of uncertainty we democratically, almost by vote, opted for the second mode. This choice is not in line with the "doctrine" of most of the galleries (Italian that I know of at least) was found to be a winner. In fact, in addition to visitors, many who have come to visit us during opening hours, many have stopped to watch the exhibition from the window when no presided intrigued by the style of the settlement. We deduced from many handprints that we had to clean up from time to time by the window, and we have confirmed our friends, owners of the nearby shops. So good even the second! I feel that we are walking on the right track. Not so much for the feedback of the public, which also enjoy, but for the capacity that has been evident to be able to cooperate dialogue even starting from different positions, having the ability and willingness to understand what is the appropriate solution for each particular situation; putting aside the desire for affirmation of one's ego at all costs and therefore avoiding the risk of an homologation. So I say thank you for signing Giorgio Tomasi proven flexible! Thanks Ilaria Germano for your dedication and commitment with which you have "dipped" in this your first solo show! Thanks Akiko Saheki for your patience and grace that you show up at every opportunity, even the most tedious! I think that this exhibition was a big step forward even if the previous was totally a very good result. Let's go with the next!!!
